Chippewa Valley Legal Professionals hosts networking event

Chippewa Valley Legal Professionals is hosting a meet and greet on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the 29 Pines, Highway 29 and County T, Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  Chippewa Valley Legal Professionals is an association for legal secretaries, legal administrative assistants, legal assistants, paralegals, and others who play vital support roles in the delivery of legal and justice services within the Chippewa Valley region. Students preparing for such roles are also welcome to network with their future colleagues through our association.

The goals of our association are as follows:

+ to provide a virtual gathering place for legal professionals in the Chippewa Valley (Find us on Facebook!);

+ to connect professionally and socially those who work as legal professionals in the Chippewa Valley’s law firms, businesses, courts, government offices, and colleges;

+ to promote organized gatherings of legal professionals for continuing education and professional networking;

+ to facilitate the development of local chapters of national and state associations for legal professionals; and

+ to link legal professionals and legal students interested in forming mentoring relationships.

Jeff Ahonen, Paralegal Chair at Globe University Eau Claire campus created the group to “try to gather up all of the legal support professionals into one group, since we have a relatively small legal community here.  Hopefully, this does bring some momentum to the long-dormant movement to create a local chapter of our state paralegal association in this neighborhood.”

If you have a Facebook account, you can check out the Facebook page for the “Chippewa Valley Legal Support Professionals.”
