Globe University had two teams participate in the 1st Annual Birdie’s for Bob’s House this past Saturday. The Event was held to raise funds for Bob’s House for Dogs, a “home” for shelter dogs that are in need of special attention.
The event was a huge success with 24 teams of 4 participating in the event! Globe University was represented by two teams: Pat Cartmill, Externship Coordinator; Paul Olsen, DMV from the Vet Tech Department; Linda Campominosi (former Career Services Director); and Susie Draeger, Admissions Representative comprised one team.
Dr. Molly Flynn,General Education Instructor; Kris Hutchins, Financial Aid Administrator, (both pictured above);Travis Kaeding, formerly in the Education Department filled in for the ill Ebony Benson from the Medical Assisting Program; and Laurie Mumm, the Vet Tech Department Chair, formed a second team.
The event was a 4 person scramble with 18 holes of golfing delight! Many local businesses contributed to this event by sponsoring holes, raffle prizes, and other donations. Pat Cartmill, was a big winner! Pat took home two prizes, the biggest was winning two Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars football game in October! Kris Hutchins, Financial Aid Advisor, won a large coffee basket from the Goat House, a local coffee-house.
Event planners from Bob’s House seemed pleased with the beautiful weather, turnout and community support. “It was a beautiful day and a wonderful event!” stated participant Laurie Mumm. The funds that were raised will go to the dogs cared for at Bob’s House for Dogs.
