To get to the State DECA Competition, the students prepared by competing at regional events in St. Cloud, Minnesota and Elk River, Minnesota.  At the regional events, Team La Crosse brought home a total of 5 first place and 4 second place awards in their respective competitions!   In addition to competing, the group has held several fundraisers on campus and volunteered in the community to support their competition and travel expenses.

Their hard work has paid off!

While the group has given themselves the title of “small but fierce” they have made a significant impact in competition.  Tim and Lisa placed first overall at the State competition in Business Ethics- beating 26 other teams!  Tim also placed first overall at State in Sales Management Meeting-beating 22 other competitors!  Lisa placed a respectful 5th out of 46 competitors in Human Resources and Kevin and Melissa placed 7th overall in Business to Business Marketing.  All students have qualified for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) which will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah from April 20-25th!
